2005 International Grants

FOOD FOR ALL gave $66,000 in grants to eight international anti-hunger organizations
in 2005. Several of these grants went to support sustainable garden and
women-in-enterprise programs. We are currently working on our 2006 international
grants and will keep you posted!

AFSC at work! Creole Pig Repopulation

These young gardeners tend to their crops in Bosnia and Herzegovinia. FOOD FOR ALL provided a grant in May 2005 to the American Friends Service Committee in
order to create and sustain multi-ethnic garden
programs in this diverse and once politically
unstable country.
Here, Haitian children gather around a native creole pig and her piglets. Creole pigs have long been the primary source of income and food for many Haitian farmers until their forced eradication (due to a swine flu) in the early 1980's. FOOD FOR ALL is proud to support the repopulation efforts spearheaded by Grassroots International.
